My massage style is rooted in Swedish adding in deep tissue therapy and gentle stretching when needed. My goal is to help you achieve your wellness goals, that is why each massage session is customized to your needs but if you are looking to get “beat-up” during the massage or to get extreme deep tissue I am not the therapist for you. Hot Stone Massage: 60 min $85, 75 minute $105, 90 min $115
The use of stones for healing purposes date back thousands of years beginning first with Ayurvedic medicine in India. This ancient practice involved placing hot stones on the body to relax tense muscles and relive pain. Hot stone massage has evolved since those early days and now not only involves placing hot stones on the body but uses the stones as an extension of the therapists hands to massage muscle. The heat from the stones relax muscle tissue, allowing access to deeper muscle layers which melts away knots, relieves pain, reduces stress and promotes deep relaxation. The heat from the stones also expands blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the entire body. Take a tip from the ancients and let the power of heat take your next massage to a higher level of healing!
Thai-inspired herbal poultice: $5
The herbal poultice is a deep heat medicinal muscle treatment that dates back to 14th Century Thailand. Prior each area of the body being massaged, I will apply the warm, steamed poultice using firm yet soothing pressure. The body absorbs the heat, combined with the organic herbs to help relax and soften tight muscles, reduce aches & pains, stimulate circulation, increase lymphatic drainage, detoxify & condition the skin and increase relaxation. My poultices are filled with organic lavender, arnica, and eucalyptus. Lavender is well known for it’s anti-bacterial and antiseptic properties, as well as being a circulatory stimulant, antidepressant, relaxation aid, pain reliever, and nervous system soother. Arnica, an herb in the sunflower family, contains anti-inflammatory compounds that relieve muscle and joint pain. Eucalyptus’ active chemical components contribute to its reputation as a purifying, cleansing, clarifying, and immune-boosting plant that is ideal for use on skin and in aromatherapy. It is known for its ability to reduce or eliminate harmful surface and airborne bacteria, and infections upon contact. It facilitates easy breathing, enhances feelings of relaxation, creates a refreshing feeling, soothes nervous tension, and helps clear the mind. These healing benefits can be attributed to the plants anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, decongestant, deodorant, antiseptic, antibacterial, and stimulating qualities. Client will be given their poultice to take home after the treatment (only if purchased and not part of a free promotion). Must be purchased in conjunction with a massage.
Orange-Rosemary Back or Foot Scrub: $5
I’ve blended organic, sustainably harvested coconut oil with honey, orange and rosemary essential oils and Epsom salt. Coconut oil has long been used for skin care due to it’s richness in vitamin E which helps fight free radical damage. It is also high in fatty acids which work as an anti-inflammatory and while its moisturizing effects reach deep into the skin, it is not greasy. Honey is also incredible for your skin thanks to its antibacterial properties and age defying antioxidants as well as being extremely moisturizing, soothing and clarifying. Aromatically, oranges’ pleasant citrus scent is cheerful and uplifting yet simultaneously relaxing and calming while rosemary’s soothing scent promotes mental clarity and emotional balance, reduces stress and relives fatigue. Topically, orange has many healing properties including being a disinfectant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and an antioxidant while rosemary reduces pain, strengthens the immune system and is anti-microbial. Lastly, the magnesium found in Epsom salt reduces inflammation while sulfates flush out toxins. Please let me know if you would like this immune boosting treatment at time of booking. Cannabis Infused Oil: $5-$10
Cannabis applied topically increases massage benefits including pain relief, muscle soreness, tension, inflammation, and stress relief. It is also a great option for athletes to help fight the physical pain of overexertion. The oil I use is organic and contains both CBD and THC but because it is applied topically there are zero psychoactive properties – you will receive all the benefits of cannabis without getting “high”. Choose between a “spot” treatment to one area of your body needing extra attention ($5) or indulge in an entire body massage ($10). Please let me know if you would like this amazing treatment at the time of booking. Must be purchased in conjunction with a massage.
Hot Oil Hand or Foot Treatment: $5
With the seasonal change to cooler temps our skin can become extra dry. This treatment uses Eco-Fin paraffin alternative product which is a rich blend of organic and sustainably harvested palm, soy, jojoba and coconut oils, shea butter, vitamin E and your choice of essential oil. With heat, it delivers rich moisturizers that leave the skin soft and supple. The Eco-Fin will be massaged into your hands or feet and then they will be wrapped in warm, cozy mitts or booties that are lined with 100% biodegradable plastic liners. This is a true treat for hands or feet! Please let me know if you would like this heavenly treatment at time of booking. Must be purchased in conjunction with a massage.
*I have a dog that lives in my home. While she will not be present in the treatment room during your massage, if you are allergic, or not fond of dogs it may be better for you to book a massage elsewhere.
